The Venn diagram of art and yoga overlap quite a bit, never more clearly than when there’s a yoga or meditation class in a museum or gallery. Paris, with its abundance of places to view art, is the logical place to explore both.
While at first glance these sorts of events might seem gimmicky, when led by experts who have knowledge in art history, yoga and meditation, they are anything but. After all, looking at art is not just about your eyes; it involves your entire being and calls on every part of you to make sense (or not!) of what’s before you. Looking at art is a full mind-body experience that awakens you to beauty, transforms your self-perception and “transfigures the space around” you.
