Paris Yoga Menu: September 2025 Edition
5 Yoga Open Houses with FREE or low-cost classes starting this weekend!
How are you on this, the first day of Rentrée?
Normally I am ebullient about September but my rentrée is not going that well. Thanks for asking 😜
These days my practice, if you can call it that, consists of weekly appointments with my kiné to heal an injury that I sustained who-knows-how (running on a probably poorly maintained treadmill in a hotel gym? scampering on uneven terrain in the park wearing non-trail shoes?) and that took two weeks, two sports medicine doctors and an MRI to properly identify. I am getting better — I no longer need twice daily anti-inflammatories and can actually spend more time standing and walking than before — but it is slooooooow going and occasionally disheartening.
As much as I long to run through piles of autumn leaves, to thread my way through a simple vinyasa, or just walk to Ten Belles without limping, I have to be patient, trust my kiné’s methods and submit to the process.
Here’s hoping your Rentrée is off to a vibrant, able-bodied start! Below a list of fun events to make you excited about Fall.
ICYMI on Notes and beyond

Baba Yoga Social Club’s new space in Sentier is adorable; YAY Yoga has expanded and now includes Casa Yoga’s former space on rue des Vinaigriers; FREE yoga if you’re interested in work-exchange at Beyoga; yoga with a view atop the Tour Montparnasse; and bravo to celebrated yoga teacher Briohny Smith for suing Alo Yoga for age discrimination!
PORTES OUVERTES AND MORE…
Yoga studio open house weekends feature FREE or low-cost classes (reservations are generally required as spots are limited and spaces fill up quickly) and frequently offer discounts on class cards. What’s nice about these events is that the teachers and owners are often available to answer any questions you might have before/after class, and the ambiance is relaxed and welcoming. If you’re searching for a new spot to lay down your mat, check out the list below!
→ Saturday September 6th, 2025: Portes Ouvertes at Yoga & Co. Reserve here.
→ Saturday September 6th, 2025: Portes Ouvertes at Yoga Sivananda Paris. Reserve here.
→ Saturday September 6th and Sunday September 7th, 2025: Portes Ouvertes at Studio Marga. Reserve here.
→ Saturday Sept 6th, 2025: Ok, ok, not exactly a Portes Ouvertes, but I have to mention Guerilla Yoga with Marc Holzman, my favorite weekend yoga and meditation ritual which is back! Here are some additional dates in case you can’t make this first one: September 13th and 20th, October 4th and 18th, and November 8th and 15th. You can just show up with cash in hand or reserve here.
→ Friday September 12th, Saturday September 13th and Sunday September 14th, 2025: Portes Ouvertes at Nata Paris. No need to reserve; take a look at the schedule, choose your adventure and get there early.
→ Saturday September 13th and Sunday September 14th: instead of a Portes Ouvertes, MayaShala is hosting Maya Yoga Fest, a weekend of affordable classes (12€/one class or 30€/3 classes) and treats like chai, matcha and bagels from Fitzcaraldo! Reserve here.
